Welcome to Enviroarch Homes

Environmentally Sustainable Homes

Enviroarch Australia are setting a new benchmark in Australia for energy efficient design solutions, creating architect designed, sustainable home designs for the contemporary lifestyle. As quality home builders, Enviroarch specialise in creating environmentally friendly homes which respect our damaged planet, but surround the homeowner with the quality finishes and attention to detail expected in the modern home market.

Enviroarch Australia offers their clients a full range of design and construct services, from creating green home plans for your own builder, to making your own sustainable home design a built reality, to our full design and construct service. Our in house Home Sustainability Assessor can also help meet your energy efficiency assessment needs.

What makes Enviroarch different.

At Enviroarch, we take sustainability seriously. Our environmental features are more than token gestures in order to jump on the green bandwagon, or simply pass government requirements. At Enviroarch, sustainability underpins everything we do.

Each Enviroarch home is architect designed and quality built. Whether selected from our standard project home design range, or a custom design suited to your unique design brief, each Enviroarch home is carefully designed for its site and constructed to utilise passive design principals to maximise the thermal comfort for the occupant. Water saving and energy saving solutions incorporated into each design not only help protect the environment by reducing water wastage and cutting carbon emissions, but save the homeowner money in running costs.

As home builders focussed on high quality and backed with years of experience, you can be assured that no shortcuts are taken, ensuring that you are left with a home which will be a joy to live in during the various seasons of the year and for years to come.

Eco friendly houses for all

Enviroarch represents the shared vision of quality builder Luke Hall (LJ Hall Builders) and architect Paul Zaia (Zaia Architects) to create sustainable, architect designed homes for the wider housing market. It is an unfortunate reality that a large portion of Australian dwellings exhibit little regard for specific climate conditions, occupier comfort or the well-being of the planet. All are equally important, inherently linked and attainable through quality design and construction- the aim of every Enviroarch home.

What is Sustainability?

‘Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs’

As architects, builders and inhabitants of homes, we have an ability to question the way we live, learn from past mistakes and put forward a better proposition for the future. Put simply, at Enviroarch we aim to do things better on a wider scale and do it in a sustainable manner.

What is Thermal comfort?

If we look at our friend ‘Wikipedia’, Thermal Comfort can be defined as the state of mind that expresses satisfaction with the surrounding environment.’ It is the ability of a building to make us feel relaxed, secure, comfortable and generally happy. Unfortunately, poorly designed buildings will have the opposite impact and it is a sad fact that the large majority of houses built today are poorly considered  for our overall comfort. We focus on Thermal comfort for all designs with all year round comfort achieved  through natural means (see Passive Design).

What is Passive design?

Passive design is a little know term, however it is, very simply, design which makes the most of local climate conditions to provide non mechanical means of heating and cooling.

Each site location is unique in relation to climatic conditions, orientation, overshadowing, breezes and solar movement. Our focus is to carefully define the constraints and opportunities of each site to make your home comfortable all year round.
